Ford RMA Indonesia brings the Legendary Ford Ranger Back to Indonesia

January 10th, 2020 – From October 2019 through January 2020, Ford RMA Indonesia conducted roadshows in several major cities in Indonesia to welcome the return of Ford vehicles to the Indonesian market and to demonstrate the Ford Ranger’s proven benefits to the fleet market.

Sporting the slogan œTHE KING IS BACK , RMA Indonesia set out on tour to demonstrate why the Ford Ranger has become known as œThe King  in the fleet market. The roadshow hit major cities including Palembang, Jambi, Aceh, Medan, Balikpapan and Palangkaraya, where consumers were invited to witness and even test drive the  Ford Ranger Base 2.2 M / T and Ford Ranger XLT 2.2 A / T in various constructed situations mimicking the conditions found in mines and plantations.

œFord RMA Indonesia is closing 2019 and ringing in the new decade on a high note by welcoming the return of Ford vehicles in Indonesia. This programme, titled œThe King Is Back , showcases the Ford Ranger’s legendary performance in the fleet market, especially for mining purposes, where the terrain and conditions are extreme. The Ford Ranger provides the perfect alternative mode of transportation for the mining industry, backed by its stellar performance in tested extreme conditions, said Yanto Mardianto, Senior Sales and Marketing Manager, RMA Indonesia.

Additionally, visitors could get their brakes and suspension checked for free along with a 20% discount on spare parts, while staff from RMA Indonesia were present to answer any questions regarding sales, logistics, and after sales. Vehicle type could be ordered directly through authorized RMA Indonesia dealers.

RMA Indonesia has 33 dealers throughout the country that provide services including sales, after sales, Ford genuine parts, warranty claims, emergency roadside assistance, and technical training.

RMA Indonesia was first established under PT Global Fleet Sales in 2007 as a manufacturing & distribution company providing fleet solutions to OEMs such as Ford Motor Indonesia & Toyota Indonesia. These services included modifications, accessory & safety equipment development and fitment to fleet vehicles. PT GFSI operated out of a modification and assembly facility in Jakarta.  These services included specialized modifications specific to mine site vehicle application, accessory & safety equipment development and fitment to fleet vehicles to a wide range of fleet customers.

 

RMA Indonesia has managed the Ford Motor Company aftersales business operations in Indonesia since FMI ceased operations in 2016. This includes upholding existing warranties of all Ford vehicles and provides customers ongoing access to Ford Service, Genuine Ford Parts supply and 24 X 7 Emergency Roadside Assistance, through a network of 31 service dealers across the archipelago.

 

In 2018, under Mitra Bisnis, RMA Indonesia was appointed as the exclusive distributor of Mahindra & Mahindra Commercial Vehicles in Indonesia.
