RMA and Royax announce their strategic cooperation under MoU to drive innovation and choice in the Ambulance & Emergency Medical Services sector

• RMA & Royax announce a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate in bringing innovative EN1789 Type B ambulance solutions to the EMS sector.
• The proposed cooperation covers completed EN1789 ambulances supplied with Royax’s medical equipment, and an EN1789 certified ambulance “Preparation Pack” (PrepPack) for ‘in-market’ ambulance manufacturer completion, both based on the best-selling Ford Transit platform.
• The partnership leverages the combined strength and expertise of both companies to introduce new choices and enhanced capabilities to ambulance operators and ambulance manufacturers worldwide.
• Completed ambulances will be prepared at RMA’s “Altinay Modification Centre”, located adjacent to the Ford Transit assembly plant in Kocaeli, Türkiye and in Royax’s manufacturing facility in Prague, Czech Republic
• The ‘dual-site’ strategy underscores the partnership’s commitment to meet the needs of European customers, support compliance with European standards and certifications, and develop their business worldwide.
• Ambulance PrepPack’s pre-installed in Transit vans will be manufactured at RMA’s “Altinay Modification Centre”.
• High Roof and Medium Roof prototypes which demonstrate innovation & customer-focused engineering that the partnership is committed to will be showcased at the Royax RETTmobil show stand – Hall A Stand 1808.

The new EN1789 Type B Ambulance and Ambulance PrepPack draws on more than 80 years combined experience of Royax and RMA in the EMS and special vehicle sectors.
