March 20th, 2018 Bangkok – Marks 200 years of friendship between the United States of America and Thailand. This auspicious occasion is being celebrated by the Great and Good Friends event.

œGreat and Good Friends is how Abraham Lincoln described the relationship between Thailand and the United States of America in the 1860’s.  This apt description is as valid today.

The history of the RMA Group in intimately linked to the relationship between Thailand and America.  Our founder Mark Whitcraft moved from the United States to Thailand in 1958 and made Thailand the home of the Whitcraft family. Thereby starting sixty years of Whitcraft’s in Thailand.  From being long term members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand, to representing major American brands in Thailand and the region, to Mrs. Rosemary Whitcraft involvement in AFS International and sponsoring hundreds of Thai students to study in the United States, the RMA Group and the Whitcraft family are vigorous supporters of the Great and Good Friendship between Thailand and the United States.

Today Kevin and Tom Whitcraft are being honored with an audience with His Majesty King   Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun at the Grand Palace as part of this celebration of Thai American relations.

The RMA Group through the Whitcraft Foundation is proudly supporting this celebration of American and Thai friendship as a sponsor of the Great and Good Friends exhibition which is taking place from today until June 30th at the Queen Sirikit Textile Museum.

We encourage all members of the RMA family to enjoy the exhibit of these unique Thai artifacts which were gifts of Thailand to the United States and to participate in this celebration of Thai American relations.
