Bringing the New RMA Technical Training Center to Life

June 6th, 2019 Phnom Penh – RMA Cambodia the exclusive distributor of Ford vehicles in Cambodia held an inauguration ceremony of the brand new RMA Technical Training Center, which is the latest advanced workshop put together by RMAC.

 

The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Pich Sophorn, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and Vice Chairman of the Board of Engineers. Kevin Whitcraft, Chief Executive Officer of RMA Group and Ngorn Saing, CEO and Country Manager of RMA Cambodia were also present at the opening ceremony.

 

The workshop received a new facelift from RMA Cambodia, which included classroom air conditioners, study equipment, new decor, plus a Ford vehicle and two John Deere tractors to be used for hands-on studies and practicing.

 

œThe automotive industry is developing at a rapid rate. Thanks to technological advances, innovations like electric cars and voice control are possible. RMA Cambodia is focused on introducing employees to these new technologies and providing them with skills adapted for modern tech. We work to ensure our people have the resources necessary to learn new skills and thrive in their careers, said Ngorn Saing, Country Manager, RMA Cambodia.

 

Additionally, RMA Cambodia designed an internship exchange program between the Industrialized Technical Institute (ITI) through support from the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, which allows students to study and practice with expert technicians at the Ford Service Center.

 

The top eight students from ITI are currently completing their internship at the Ford Service Center. So far, RMA Cambodia has provided two exchange programs together with ITI, consisting of 50 to 60 students in total.
