New Ford Ranger Makes Grand Debut in Myanmar

October 10th, 2018 Yangon – Ford Motor Company along with Capital Automotive premiered the new ˜Built Ford Tough’ Ranger lineup – an impressive cast of vehicles that builds on Ford’s heritage of toughness combined with industry-leading technology, safety and convenience features.

The new Ranger blends off-road credentials with comfort, ensuring it has mass appeal in the Myanmar market and can serve a wide range of customer’s needs, whether at work or with the family.

The new Ranger lineup in Myanmar consists of 3 different models, including the Wildtrak, XLT, and XL.

Tougher, smarter

The new Ranger now includes Ford’s Pre-Collision Assist feature to help mitigate rear end or road traffic collisions. Lane Keeping Aid and Lane Departure Warning, and Adaptive Cruise Control with Forward Collision Warning also carry over to the new Ranger.

In a segment first, Active Park Assist (APA) enables semi-automatic parallel parking, making it convenient for drivers navigating Myanmar’s busy roads.

Ranger’s fresh face

The new Ranger rugged good looks are now led by a cleaner new grille and a more distinctively chiselled lower bumper offering a broader intake for a more balanced look.

Mission Control

The Ranger is now offered with Passive Entry Passive Start (PEPS) keyless entry and push-button start as standard on XLT and Wildtrak.

SYNC 3 also continues to be compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Go anywhere attitude

The new Ranger features powerful and efficient engines paired to either a six-speed automatic or manual transmission.

Ford is offering the latest generation of its globally proven 3.2-liter Duratorq five-cylinder TDCi diesel engine, putting out an impressive 147 kW of power and 470 Nm of torque.

On-road comfort, off-road conquered

The new Ranger’s suspension had been upgraded across the range to reduce and better control roll, with an emphasis on improving the driving experience when fully-laden and towing.
