Minecorp Strives for a Cancer-Free World

May 23rd, 2019 Melbourne – Minecorp participated in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. This forms part of their CSR activities and is the first event for the year.

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is the easiest way to bring people together to raise funds that will make a big difference to those impacted by cancer. The idea is simple: just get your friends, colleagues or community together over some tea and treats, and help fund Cancer Council’s life-saving research, prevention, support programs, and information.

Minecorp runs a number of fund-raising activities in conjunction with the event, including a MasterChef competition where employees submit their cooking for judging, a number of guessing games and closest to the jug throwing competition.

œMinecorp believes that the best thing we can do is to uplift others. That’s why we appreciate the team for sharing our passion in giving back to the community. We could not be prouder of everyone for raising funds in support of Cancer Council, said Sheree Lamont, Business Manager, Minecorp.

This year, Minecorp raised $250 to donate to Anti-Cancer Council of Australia and the following winners took out the MasterChef competition:

1st Place: Sheree Lamont, Business Manager – Triple Chocolate Nutella & Raspberry Fudge Brownies

2nd Place: Amanda Addison, Distribution Manager – Chicken & Chorizo Taco Cups

3rd Place: Pumpkin, Coconut and Orange Cake

There were 10 entrants that were judged by last year’s winner Jaque Hunt and event organiser Kerry McMillan.
