RMA Indonesia Aids Palu Earthquake Victims

November 24th, 2018 Indonesia – RMA Indonesia organized œCaring Action for the Palu Earthquake , a four-day charity event from November 21st – 24th, to assist with relief efforts in communities impacted by the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Palu and Central Sulawesi, Indonesia.

The earthquake left over 80,000 people displaced in Central Sulawesi after devastating the area on September 28th. Families and individuals who have lost their homes have migrated to relief camps set up around the Poso area.

RMA Indonesia collected donation boxes packed with essential goods like food, cooking oil and baby diapers to distribute to those in relief camps. The boxes were delivered directly from Jakarta to the Poso area in Ford Rangers, built to tackle rough roads and muddy terrain. A number of RMA Indonesia representatives volunteered to distribute boxes of goods and visited those in relief camps.

œRMA Indonesia stands with the people affected by the earthquake in Sulawesi, and we’re truly humbled by their resilience. We hope our contributions have helped displaced families and individuals get back on their feet, said Dan McNally, Country Manager, RMA Indonesia.

The infrastructural damage caused by the earthquake has also made the roads difficult to navigate. To provide some relief, RMA Indonesia and Ford Palu jointly carried out vehicle checks, free-of-charge, for Ford owners who have experienced technical or other problems following the earthquake.
